Started in 1976, as a result of demands by local residents that derelict land in the Bedminster area of Bristol be used for the benefit of local people, Windmill Hill City Farm has grown over 30 years to deliver more than 50 services each week and host more than 200,000 visits every year. Our Future We have set ourselves ambitious targets for the next year with a £1.5 million fundraising project planned for our innovative OASIS development. This will see the return of our loved and hugely missed rumpus room, the first of its kind in Bristol. The development will also include the expansion of our shop and redevelopment of the main building into an environmental beacon building. This will provide further meeting space and crucially, environmental educational opportunities. The outline plans are displayed in the farm foyer.
